On top of the world in the Bern Rosengarten

If you take a trip to Switzerland, an absolute must-see are the mountain views. You can’t leave Switzerland if you have not seen some mountain. Luckily, it is not that hard to find some in Switzerland.. 😉 But obviously, you wan’t to get the best view, right? In Bern you can feel like you are on top of the world in the beautiful Bern Rosengarten.View in Bern Rosengarten on Will's Wanderlust

Before you can enjoy this view, you have to do some work to get there. Of course, you can take the car of public transport to the top but that would be a shame. If you walk or cycle to the top you can have some nice views on your way too. I cycled to the Rosengarten.. My god, Dutch people are not used to mountains when they go by bike.

Once you’ve arrived you know that every drop of sweat was worth it. The Bern Rosengarten offers you a fairy tale like view of the city and is a perfect spot to chill. I visited Bern in autumn, so I only went to the Rosengarten for the view. In summer you can chill in the park with many locals and have an even more beautiful view of the city. Anyway, it was pretty enchanting when I was there too. And if you find it too cold in autumn or winter you can go to restaurant Rosengarten, where the view is just as great. View in Bern Rosengarten on Will's Wanderlust View in Bern Rosengarten on Will's Wanderlust View in Bern Rosengarten on Will's Wanderlust View in Bern Rosengarten on Will's Wanderlust

Amazing view, right?!

You can’t see the entire city from the Bern Rosengarten, but you can absolutely see a lot. If you want to have more great views of the city, you should also check out the Kornhausbrücke (it’s a bridge) or the Münsterplattform (and a park). Both offer a different view of the city, less impresses but still pretty cool. View in Bern Rosengarten on Will's Wanderlust

  1. Hi Will! Thanks for sharing this post! I’ve been to Bern when I was a kid but I can only remember a part of the city center. Would love to visit it properly. Great photos!

Many thanks Rose! 🙂 You should put it on your travel wish list indeed! It is easily combined with other cities in Switzerland and so worth it! X
